On April 8, 2016, members of Congress sent a letter to President Barack Obama expressing their concern about one-sided UN initiatives and resolutions trying to impose a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The representatives stated that it is “only at the negotiating table... that the parties can resolve their complicated differences,” and that such UN resolutions “dangerously hinder the prospects for resuming direct negotiations.” The authors remind President Obama at the letter's conclusion of the “longstanding U.S. policy to veto one-sided UN Security Council Resolutions.” To read the letter, please click here.
