(November 6, 2015)
The House Foreign Affairs Committee released a letter signed by 369 members of Congress on November 6, 2015, urging Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority to put a stop to the incitement of violence against Israelis. During the previous week, Congress passed a bipartisan bill condemning incitement by the Palestinian Authority. The letter, signed by over 80 percent of House members, expresses the signatories’ “deep concern over the recent wave of Palestinian violence in Israel and the West Bank,” and encourages Abbas and the Palestinian Authority to “end incitement and bring the situation under control.” To read this letter decrying incitement by the Palestinian Authority and encouraging all parties to put an end to the current violence, please click here.
