Britain-Israel Relations: British Cabinet Discusses Arms Sales to Israel

(April 20, 1959; March 22, 1960)

The following notes from two British cabinet meetings reveals that Britain was secretly sending tanks to Israel in the late 1950's and refers to the expectation that Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion would ask for defensive weapons during his upcoming visit to England.
