Jewish Members of the 118th Congress

Although Jews make up just 2% of the U.S. population, nearly 7% of the new Congress is Jewish, with 36 Jews among the total of 535 lawmakers. In the Senate, the 10 Jewish members comprise 10% of that body; Jews comprise 6% of the House.
Nine Jews in the Senate are Democrats, and the 10th, Bernie Sanders, is an Independent. In the House. all but three members are Democrats. The Republican exceptions are Max Miller (R-OH) and David Kustoff, (R-TN).

In Feburary 2023, Jewish Member of the House David Cicilline (D-RI) announced his resignation from Congress, effective June 1, 2023.
