Monthly Report by Defense Industry Inspectorate XIII Nuremberg

The effects of the labour shortage are becoming increasingly apparent, and also of deep-seated discontent among workers at excessive working strain in some cases. This has been expressed in open insubordination or in sabotage or attempted sabotage.

At the Siemens-Schuckert-Werke in Nuremberg two workers attempted to put finished transformers out of commission.

At the Nuremberg tank works Busenius and Co. two men were arrested by the Gestapo for incitement, and one man for attempting to put the factory's main fuse out of order. [...]

It would seem that workers have been made too many promises of wage increases without sufficient emphasis being placed upon the obvious precondition, namely the Fuehrer's call for increased efficiency. Individual representatives of the DAF have made comments that have been positively inflammatory. [...]
