Joseph Schulsinger

SCHULSINGER, JOSEPH (d. 1943?), Belgian author. A religious Zionist active in Antwerp Jewish life, Schulsinger contributed to various Jewish periodicals. La génuflexion d'Alénou (1932), his historical drama about Jewish persecution in Ferrara, led to an interesting correspondence with the French poet and playwright Paul Claudel (Cahiers de Paul Claudel, vol. 7, 1968). He was deported by the Nazis.
