Nazi War Crimes Trials: Neuengamme Trial

The commandant, Max Pauly, and thirteen other members of the Neuengamme camp staff were tried by a British war crimes court at Hamburg, from the March 18, 1946, to May 13, 1946, eleven defendants, including the commandant, were sentenced to death by hanging; the remainder to various terms of imprisonment.
