Israeli troops participated for the first time in the annual NATO “Saber Strike” drill in June 2018. Dozens of Israelis joined 18,000 soldiers from 19 other countries in the exercise, which took place in Poland and the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The training included air assault operations, as well as bridge and river crossing scenarios.
