Roosevelt Informed State Department Approves Entry of 1,000 Jewish Children

(September 11, 1942)

Attorney General Francis Biddle informs President Roosevelt that George Warren, Secretary of the President’s Advisory Committee on Political Refugees has arranged with the State Department for 1,000 mostly German Jewish children under 16 living in Southern France to be admitted to the United States.
