Nordhausen (Dora-Mittelbau): U.S. Army Liberation Film
(April 1945)
On April 11, 1945, units from the U.S. 3rd Armored Division liberated the Nordhausen concentration camp and its subcamps. There a film was made documenting the atrocities that had taken place. On the orders of General Dwight Eisenhower, the film was aired across Europe and overseas.
This film contains graphic images and horrific scenes of the dead.
