U.S.-Israel Naval Exercises
The Israeli Navy currently participates in three regular exercises with the U.S. Navy:
NOBLE DINA is a U.S.-Israeli-Greek tri-lateral exercise designed to train participants in Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA), Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Search and Rescue (SAR), Air Defense (AS), counter-piracy, and antiterrorism/force protection (ATFP). [See Noble Dina 2023]
NOBLE MELINDA is a U.S.-Israeli-French tri-lateral maritime exercise with a primary focus on Mine Countermeasure (MCM) and interoperability among U.S., Israeli, and French naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams.
NOBLE SHIRLEY is a U.S.-Israeli bilateral combined arms exercise focused on amphibious operations.
INTRINSIC DEFENDER is a bilateral exercise that seeks to enhance navy-to-navy cooperation and operational readiness.
