The Israel Defense Forces and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) launched a joint drill – Juniper Falcon – on February 12, 2023, focusing on air defense, cyber security, intelligence, and logistics. Similar Juniper Falcon exercises were held in the past.
“The exercise will focus on aerial defense, cyber and spectrum, intelligence and logistical scenarios, and will test joint U.S.-Israeli readiness for potential security events,” the IDF said in a statement. “The exercise will also strengthen the interoperability between the two militaries,” it added.
Juniper Falcon comes on the heels of the largest-ever joint exercise – Juniper Oak – held in January.
