Help us to maintain and build the Jewish Virtual Library.
AICE was established in 1993 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3), nonpartisan
organization to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship by emphasizing the
fundamentals of the alliance the values our nations share. Tangibly,
this means developing social and educational programs in the U.S. based
on innovative, successful Israeli models that address similar domestic problems,
and bringing novel U.S. programs to Israel.
AICE has
created this web site to further these objectives and provide information
to the public related to U.S.-Israel relations. The Jewish Virtual Library
is a cyber encyclopedia designed to offer students and anyone else with
access to the Internet facts about virtually every aspect of Jewish
history and culture.
Since the
Library takes a scholarly, independent approach, we do not want to have
advertisements that will clutter up the pages, distract from the content or
give a false impression of influencing the editorial policy of the editor.
We have therefore chosen to adopt an approach modeled after American public
television whereby companies, individuals and foundations may become
sponsors of wings of the Library.
Individual sponsors
of the Jewish Virtual Library will be thanked and recognized (unless they
prefer not to be) on our Acknowledgments page. Corporate sponsors may
have their logo and/or name associated with a particular library wing,
with a hypertext link to the sponsor's web site. Since AICE is tax-exempt,
contributions are tax-deductible.
