The Auschwitz Trials: Second Auschwitz Trial

At the second of the Auschwitz Trials - held in Frankfurt, Germany from December 10, 1963 to August 10, 1965 - twenty-two defendants, former SS officials & guards, were arraigned for a hearing on their complicity in war crimes. Eighteen were found guilty, four were acquitted and the remainder were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment.
