Irving Isaacson enlisted in the Maine National Guard in 1941, and shortly after went on active duty in the Army.
"I was commissioned an officer and entered the Office of Strategic Services serving in Europe, sometimes behind enemy lines. I met Judith Magyar shortly after her liberation near Leipzig, Germany. We were married in December 1945."
Judith Magyar Isaacson is the author of the recently published Seed Of Sarah, describing her experiences during the Holocaust.
