Weizmann Asks Truman to Intervene with British Over Armistice with Egypt

In January 1949, Chaim Weizmann wrote to President Truman to complain about British interference in armistice negotiations with Egypt. In the letter he refers to Egypt’s occupation of the Gaza Strip, which continued until 1967. Weizmann urges Truman to intervene.
