State Department Replies To FDR Re “Jewish Colonization”

In response to President Roosevelt’s request for information concerning possible opportunities for “Jewish colonization” in various parts of the world – meaning places Jewish refugees from Germany could go – Undersecretary of State Sumner Welles provided a memo discussing the possibilities in more than two dozen countries.
