Remains Of Crematorium V

These are the ruins of Crematorium V at Birkenau. The number and size of the death and disposal facilities here illustrate just how extensive was the Nazi plan to exterminate all the Jews they could grasp in their clutches. In the distance just before the trees are burning pits. With all the capacity of the four large crematoria, still they were in need of additional methods of disposing of the bodies of murdered victims.

This is the floor of the gas chamber at Crematorium V

This blackened and charred pile of bricks are all that remain
of the walls of the double, four muffle furnace of Crematorium V
