Randy Fine

(1974 - )

Randy Fine is a Jewish American politician serving as a Republican member of the Florida State Senate, representing District 19. Fine was born on April 20, 1974, in Tucson, Arizona. He earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard College in 1996 and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School in 1998. He worked as a technology consultant and founded The Fine Point Group. Fine moved to Brevard County, Florida, in 2006 to be near his parents.

Fine’s political career began in 2016 when he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 53. He was subsequently re-elected in 2018 and 2020. In 2022, after redistricting, he was elected to represent District 33 in the Florida House. During his time in the Florida House, he served on numerous committees, including the Appropriations Committee, the Education & Employment Committee, and the Health & Human Services Committee. Fine also served as the Chair of the Higher Education Appropriations Subcommittee and the Vice Chair of the Gaming Control Subcommittee.
In 2024, Fine was elected to the Florida State Senate, representing District 19. In the general election, he defeated Democrat Vance Ahrens.

Fine is a candidate for Florida’s 6th Congressional District in a special election scheduled for April 2025. He received an endorsement from President-elect Donald Trump to run for the seat after the incumbent, Congressman Mike Waltz, was nominated to be Trump’s national security advisor. Fine lives outside the district but said he is willing to move.

Fine has been a vocal advocate for Jewish causes and Israel. He is a self-described “proud Jew” and frequently references his Jewish identity in public statements. He has spoken out against anti-Semitism and has worked to pass legislation to combat it. Fine has also been a strong supporter of Israel and has defended its actions, including its military operations in Gaza after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks. He has stated that he believes God intervened to save Trump from an assassination attempt.

Fine has drawn criticism for his rhetoric, which some have called Islamophobic and inflammatory. He has been critical of Muslim congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar and has made comments that Muslim civil rights groups have condemned. He has also been criticized for his remarks about Palestinians. For example, Fine has said that he doesn’t “personally feel bad” about the Palestinian casualties in Gaza as a result of the war.

Fine is married and has one child.
