Emmanuel Pontrémoli

PONTRÉMOLI, EMMANUEL (1865–1956), French architect. Born in Nice, Pontrémoli was appointed inspector of public buildings and state palaces in 1926 and from 1932 to 1937 was director of the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts, Paris. Among his works are the Museum of Natural History and the Institute of Human Paleontology, Paris, the synagogue at Boulogne-sur-Mer, and the Maison Grecque at Beaulieu-sur-Mer built for Theodore *Reinach.
