Simon Kemény
KEMÉNY, SIMON (1882–1945), Hungarian poet and editor. In his emotional impressionist poetry, he overcame his tendency to religiosity. Kemény, a converted Jew, was murdered during the last days of the siege of Budapest by Hungarian Nazis. His main work is Lamentàciok ("Lamentations," 1909).
