František Kafka

KAFKA, FRANTIŠEK (1909–1991), Czech author. His novel Krutá léta ("The Cruel Years," 1958), notable for its combination of poetic fantasy and reality, vividly describes the Lodz ghetto during the Nazi era. He also adapted for broadcasting his namesake Franz Kafka's Letters to Milena.
