Friedrich Karl Klausing belonged to Potsdam's 9th
Infantry Regiment. On July 11, 1944,
he accompanied Colonel
Claus von Stauffenberg as adjutant to Hitler's Berghof residence. Klausing made certain a car and plane were standing
by for the getaway to Berlin.
On July 15, he accompanies Stauffenberg in the same
capacity to the Wolf's Lair.
On July
20, 1944, Klausing dispatched co-conspirators in the plot against
Hitler — von Kleist, von Hammerstein, and von Oppen — from
Berlin's Esplanade Hotel to Bendlerstrasse to help Stauffenberg launch the uprising.
Klausing was tried for his role in the conspiracy by
the “People's Court” and executed.
