Opinion Toward the Golan Heights
As you may be aware. . . Israel and Syria are currently
negotiating a peace agreement between their countries. As part of this peace
agreement the U.S. would be required to help fund more than 25 billion dollars,
and to send up to 10,000 U.S. troops, as part of a multinational peacekeeping
force, to the border between these countries to help ensure the peace. Do you
support or oppose helping to fund more than 25 billion dollars and sending U.S.
troops to the border between Syria and Israel? (JINSA, January 10-11, 2000)
