The Holocaust: The National Campaign for Collecting and Commemorating the Names of Holocaust Victims

Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, has launched a nationwide campaign to collect and commemorate the names of Holocaust victims.

This is an appeal to the people of Israel and Jews everywhere to participate in the campaign.

The Jewish people have decided to collect the names of victims and commemorate them through special "Pages of Testimony" which are to be deposited and stored in perpetuity in the Hall of Names at Yad Vashem, Jerusalem.

So far, millions of names of Jews who perished in the Holocaust have been collected. The generation of witnesses to the Second World War is growing old and this is the last historic opportunity to complete the record of the names of the victims and to perpetuate their memory at Yad Vashem.

We call on the Jewish people to become personally involved in this campaign, to collect the names of victims from all those who still remember, record them on "Pages of Testimony" and send them to Yad Vashem.

It is our duty to ensure that the names of the victims will never be forgotten.

For further information, please visit the Yad Vashem web site, located at: www.yadvashem.org.il.

The "Pages of Testimony" should be sent to:
