House, Senate Pass FY2006 Foreign Aid Appropriations Bill

The U.S. House of Representatives agreeed to a $2.5 billion aid package for Israel. The Foreign Operations Appropriations Act, which includes $240 million in economic aid and $2.28 billion in military aid for Israel, passed by a vote of 393-32 on June 28, 2005. The Senate passed the aid bill on July 20, by a vote of 98-1-1, with Sen. Inhofe (R-OK) the only nay vote and Sen. Rockeveller (D-WV) not voting.
