Holocaust One of “Most Important Events of Century”
The Gallup Organization took a poll asking people to choose the most important event of the century. World War II was the pick of 71% of the respondents, followed by women gaining the right to vote and the bombing of Hiroshima, which each were the choice of 66% of the adults. The Holocaust finished fourth with 65%.
