Hans Aumeier
(1906 - 1947)
Hans Aumeier was born August 20, 1906. He was an official in Nazi Germany and a member of the SS with the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer. He served in Dachau, Esterwegan, Lictenburg, Buchenwald, Flossenburg, Auschwitz, and Riga. He was the commander of the Vaivara concentration camp. In January 1945, he took over KL Grini near Oslo in Norway.
He was sentenced to death in Kraków and executed on December 22, 1947.
