Cass became well known in the Jewish world in 1971 when he acquired Valentine Mitchell (founded in 1949), Britain's leading publisher of Jewish interest works. His firm, Frank Cass & Co., publishes a wide variety of Jewish books and journals including The Jewish Year Book, The Library of Holocaust Testimonies, the Journal of Holocaust Education, and the Parker-Weiner Series on Jewish Studies.
