Alex Shatilov

(1987 - )

Alex Shatilov is an Israeli gymnast who is considered to be one of the greatest Israeli athletes of all time. He is most well known as a master of the floor exercise in which he has won several medals in world and European championships. Most recently he earned a gold medal at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Moscow.

Shatilov was born in Uzbekistan and began his gymnastics training at the age of five. He immigrated to Israel in 2002 and participated in his first world gymnastics championship in 2006. He first represented Israel in the Summer Olympics in 2008 and then again in 2012.

Over the course of his career he has earned four bronze medals, one silver medal and one gold medal in world and European championships.
