Ada Reeve

REEVE, ADA (1874–1966), British actress. Born in London to an acting family, Ada Reeve played Willie in East Lynne at the age of six and toured the music halls with a light comedy group. She appeared in the West End in 1894, and played the title role in San Yoy, 1901. In subsequent years she visited Australia five times between 1896 and 1935, and South Africa five times between 1906 and 1913. She acted in many plays during World War II. In 1954 she appeared in the television show Life Begins at 80 and at the age of 90 she took part in a TV film. In 1954 she published her autobiography Take it for a Fact. Some sources give her birthdate as 1870 or 1876.
