AICE Israel Studies Publication Grants
To support the development of publications in Israeli Studies, the American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise (AICE) announces the availability of small grants to assist authors in the publication of their research.
These grants are to assist in publication after most of the research and writing has been completed and are not general research grants to develop or start a project.
Grants can be used to underwrite subventions with book publishers. The grant proposal must include a statement from the publisher indicating the amount of subvention and reasons for it
Grants may be awarded for special costs in preparing a manuscript for publication, such as maps, illustrations and fees for obtaining permissions.
Funding will not be provided for translations.
Individuals should submit an application with a budget that includes a statement (no longer than five pages) about the content of the research and proposed publication, a statement about the stage of completion of the project and any information about publication prospects, a budget and its justification, the author’s vita, and two letters of recommendation.
Grants will be limited to no more than $5,000.
Deadline: January 30, 2008.
The Faculty Advisory Board of the Israel Scholar Development Fund will screen applications and recommend nominees to the board of AICE, which will announce the winners within 60 days of the deadline.
