Former Israeli Ambassador to U.S. Returns

Zalman Shoval, Israel's ambassador to Washington from 1990 to 1993 under then Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir, will return to that post later this year. He will replace Dr. Eliyahu Ben Elissar, who will become the ambassador to France. The current ambassador in Paris, Avi Pazner, will become Chairman of the Jewish National Fund (JNF).
