Shaul Yahalom
(1947 - )Shaul Yahalom was born in Tel Aviv in 1947. He served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and received a BA (Honors) in Education and Economics at Bar Ilan University. Yahalom is the chairman of the board of directors of the daily newspaper Hatzofe. Shaul Yahalom served as Political Secretary of the National Religious Party from 1987-1995. He was first elected to the Knesset in 1992, in which he served as member of the Knesset Committees on State Control and Education and Culture, and as Chairman of the Knesset Sub-committee on Special Education. Re-elected to the Knesset in 1996, he served as Chairman of the Knesset Committee on Constitution, Law and Justice, Chairman of the Knesset Sub-committee on Education and Culture in the IDF, and member of the Knesset Committee on Foreign Affairs and Security.
