Avraham Yehezkel

(1958- )


Avraham Yehezkel was born in Tel-Aviv in 1958. He holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Tel-Aviv University, and also studied towards an M.A. degree.

Yehezkel served as Secretary General of the National Youth Wing of the Labor Party, and Chairman of the Histadrut Executive and Personnel Department.

He has been a Member of Knesset since 1992. He has chaired the Subcommittee for Sport, the Subcommittee for Tourism, the Economics Committee, and the Joint Committee for the Defense Budget. He has been a member of the Economics, Education and Culture, Finance, State Control, and Foreign Affairs and Defense Committees.

In March 2001, Avraham Yehezkel was appointed Deputy Minister of Transportation.

He is married and has three children.
