William Lehman

William Lehman was a Jewish American politician who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida.

Lehman (born October 4, 1913; died March 16, 2005) was born in Selma, Alabama. He graduated with a B.S. from the University of Alabama in 1934 and worked as an auto dealer from 1936 to 1972. From 1966 to 1972, Lehman was also a member of the Dade County School Board, a commission he chaired from 1971 to 1972.

In November 1972, Lehman was elected as a Democrat to represent Florida's 13th district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was subsequently re-elected to the nine succeeding Congresses and served until January 1993. From 1983 to 1993, he represented Florida's 17th district.

Lehman died in Miami Beach in 2005. He was 91 years old.
