Yitzhak Vaknin

(1958 - )

Yitzhak Vaknin is an Israeli politician and member of Knesset for the Shas Party.

Vaknin (born May 12, 1958) was born in Israel. He studied auto mechanics at a Teachers College.

Vaknin has been a Member of Knesset since 1996. He has been a member of the Economics, Immigration and Absorption, Advancement of the Status of Women, Finance, Anti-Drug Abuse, and Foreign Workers Committees. From August 1999 until July 2000 he served as Deputy Minister of Communications.

In May 2001, Vaknin was appointed Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare. He left the position in May 2002.

He is married and has five children.
