Danny Naveh

(1960 - )

Dan Naveh is an Israeli politician and former minister in the Cabinet.

Naveh (born June 21, 1960) was born in Israel as Dan Mannheim. An attorney by profession, he holds an L.L.B. degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Naveh served as Advisor to Minister of Defense and Foreign Minister, Moshe Arens and as Government Secretary to Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Elected to the Knesset in 1999, he served on the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, the Committee for the Advancement of the Status of the Child. and the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

In March 2001 he was appointed Minister without Portfolio, responsible for coordination between the government and the Knesset. He served in that role until 2003 when he was appointed Minister of Health. In January 2006, Naveh resigned from the Cabinet and in February 2007 officially tended his resignation from Knesset.

Naveh was appointed in June 2013, as the Chairman of the board of directors of Clal insurance, one of the top three insurance and financial assets management firms in Israel

He is married with three children.
