Nissim Dahan

(1954- )


Nissim Dahan was born in Morocco in 1954 and immigrated to Israel in 1955.

He studied at the Porat Yossef Talmudic College.

Dahan was a member of committee for the establishment of Ganei Modi'in; served as director of the Organizations and Institutions Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and for three years was a member of the Jerusalem Development Authority.

He has been a Knesset Member since 1996, and has served on the Finance, Economics, and Foreign Affairs & Defense Committees.

From August 1999 until July 2000, Dahan served as Deputy Minister of Finance.

In March 2001, Nissim Dahan was appointed Minister of Health.

He is married, with nine children.
