Walter Bargatzky

(1910 - 1998)

Walter Bargatzky was an official in the War Ministry assigned to Paris during the German occupation of France (1940-44). On July 20, 1944, he was on hand with co-conspirator Friedrich von Teuchert in Paris's Hotel Raphael to assist General Karl-Heinrich von Stuelpnagel's Paris coup attempt.

He survived Hitler's vengeance and World War II to relate his personal experience of the Paris-based July 20th uprising.
