Last Clinton Foreign Aid Budget

President Clinton sent a $1.84 trillion budget request to Capitol Hill, the last of his eight-year administration. The budget request included $15.1 billion in funding for all  foreign aid programs, $2 billion more than last year's pre-Wye aid level. The administration requested $1.98  billion in military aid and $840 million in economic  assistance for Israel, both in line with year three of  Israel's ten-year voluntary aid restructuring plan to faze  out economic aid while boosting military assistance.
