Rocket Fire at Israel

September 2010 - October 2011

After a few months of calm during the summer of 2011, Palestinian rocket attacks against Israel picked up heavily in August. In anticipation of the completion of a deal for the exchange of captured IDF soldier Gilad Shalit for Hamas terrorists in Israeli jails, the rocket fire again tapered off. Unfortunately, October saw yet another rise in attacks, forcing the IDF to respond in order to defend its citizens who find themselves under constant threat.
