Counterterrorism Group Formed

The new U.S.-Israel Working Group on Counterterrorism which was established during Prime Minister Barak's visit to the United States in July announced its formation. The Working Group is designed to "share intelligence assessments, and prepare plans for cooperation in the development of technological means for counterterrorism." The joint chairs of the Working Group will be Meir Dagan -- the outgoing advisor on terror to Prime Minister Barak -- and Michael Sheehan -- the State Department's top man on the war on terror.
