Israel at the 2008 Beijing Olympics


Israel will compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. This will be Israel’s 14th participation in the summer Olympics. As of June 23, 2008, 39 Israeli sportsmen qualified for the Olympics in 10 sports. This is the second largest Israeli delegation in history, one less than at Sydney 2000. Shooter Guy Starek is set to become the second Israeli in Olympic history to participate in 4 Olympic Games.
