The Israeli Communist Party
by Rebecca Weiner
The Israeli Communist Party was established in 1922. The Communist Party contains both Jewish and Arab members and has an Anti-Zionist platform. From the outset, it advocated a Palestinian state as well as workers rights, womens rights and equality among Israels citizens. Its constituency consists mainly of Israeli Arabs. The party also serves as a driving force behind Hadash.
