Former Luftwaffe Generalfeldmarschall Albert Kesselring convicted in Case No.44 (The "Kesselring" Trial), which was held before a British Military court at Venice, from February 17, 1947, to May 6, 1947. He was found guilty and sentenced to Death, later commutted to life imprisonment.
