Marc Jarblum addresses a crowd of DPs at a demonstration protesting the forced return of the Exodus refugee ship to Europe. Joseph Rosensaft stands next to the speaker. The Yiddish text of the banner on the right reads:“Illegal immigrants from the Exodus we are with you! United in the struggle for unrestricted immigration!” (1947)

Under the supervision of British troops, Exodus passengers are transferred from trains to trucks, on the last leg of their journey back to German displaced persons’ camps. This group will be temporarily resettled in the Poppendorf DP camp. (September 1947)
