EU Accepts Israel in R&D Program
Israel and the European Union formally signed an agreement that will allow the Jewish state to take part in a $16 billion E.U. research and development program. The signing, which took place after E.U. officials voted last month to approve Israel's participation, was seen as a major diplomatic victory for Israel, the only non-European country to be included in the program
